So, Friday was an eventful day. Skyler was pretty much given an ultimatum at work to force him into management, which isn't a bad thing, they just went about it the wrong way. Long story short, he s now the assistant manager/mortgage officer at the Green Valley branch beginning Nov. 2nd. This wasn't good news because we are down to one car, but Skyler managed to find someone to car pool with. The new East branch will be opening around the corner from our house at the beginning of 2009. At that time they'll open the Asst. Manager and hopefully manager positions will be up for application. They're doing this to make it fair. After Skyler pointed it out they realized he should have had his choice in branch seeing that he has been with the credit union a lot longer than the current assistant at East right now. We suppose this is their way of making it right. What ever the case may be, I just hope we can stick it out a few more years so Skyler can get his degree and we can get out of this no where town.
After a day of back and forth discussion regarding the situation, Skyler was driving home and found...let's just say more than a little money in an unmarked envelope on the street. What makes that really crazy is, just a month ago he found a hundred dollar bill hanging on some shrub in a desert area while driving home from the library. We feel really blessed because it shows us the Lord does care and does watch over us. Each time we have needed it for things we need that we've put off due to our tight budget. Though it is a small thing, it was huge to us.
We hope despit all your trials all of you can see the blessings in your lives as we do in ours. This move to Green Valley could have been really bad, but again we were blessed with someone to carpool with and he is now motivated to get into management so he can keep his pay. The Lord has a plan, it is up to us to listen and follow.
Have a good weekend!!
