Matthew Turns 9!!

My big boy is growing up way too fast!! This birthday was slightly un-eventful because the entire week before all of us got sick with that nasty cold/flu bug going around. By Friday we were all over it, for the most part anyway, and decided it was time to get ready for Matthew's birthday.

He wanted a party, but since we were on track break I didn't have the ability to invite his school friends over for a party. Instead we have him a choice, Chuck E. Cheese, or a day to do what he wants. He chose to play video games with just his dad, no other kids, just he and his dad.

He said it was a great birthday so I suppose despite the lack of planning we did a good job.

His cake was ALL green, homemade with bavarian cream filling and Sonic Riders to top it off.


It seems every birthday I end up getting each kid a costume. These boys love to dress up!


We are so blessed to have him in our family. He is a great big brother and a good example for his little brothers.
