Father and Sons' Campout

This year we almost forgot about the campout. We've had so much illness in the house this month and so much other stuff going on that it was totally spaced until the day before.

The campout was held out at Warm Springs again this year. My boys love that place. There is plenty of room to run, swimming, and their favorite...a stream to play in.

Skyler had ALL 4 BOYS with him this year. It was not intended to be that way, but when Teagan saw the van being loaded and all the boys heading out he got really upset and Skyler, being the good dad he is decided to bring him along. Teagan is officially the first boy to go on a campout with dad being under the age of 3.

I wish I could say it went smoothly, but it did not. Shortly after arriving they ate their dinner and decided to set up the tent. Skyler brought up pizza for dinner and as they were setting up the tent someone decided to help themselves to the rest of the pizza, leaving them with nothing to eat later. Then after it got dark and the fire was started Skyler decided to give the boys smores, only to find out someone had also helped themselves to all the hershey bars.

All I can say is HOW RUDE!

THEN Teagan burned his finger on a lantern and ended up crying about it for over a hour. Not to mention the 45 mile/hour winds they had to endure over night.

Despite all the bad, the boys had a blast. They love camping with their dad and wouldn't trade the time for anything.
