Matthew and Jayden wanted so badly to have their own Xbox 360 so they decided to ask Santa for it. Skyler and I kept discouraging it, telling them it was a really big gift and to not expect it... even Santa told them he didn't know if it would be possible, but they kept believing they'd get it. So, we kept looking for a deal. One day we were walking in Sam's Club with my Mom and we noticed a clearance table set up. On this lovely table was a 60g Xbox 360 for $82.91!! I could not believe it! It was a floor model that was used to display the Kinect. Nothing wrong with it. Of course we bought it so Santa would not disappoint.
Logan has been wanting his own DS since his was stolen from the house by a couple neighborhood boys. At least that is what we assumed happened. Luckily we found this great repair shop that does everything from computers to game systems. We actually had 3 Ds's in the house that needed repair so we took the parts from one that couldn't be fixed and used it to fix the other two. Since we didn't have to pay for parts the total cost of repair for both was $40...therefore, Logan got his Santa gift.
Teagan... well we weren't sure what to get him. He likes everything the brothers have but we didn't want to disappoint him. We went to Toys R Us on Black Friday and couldn't seem to find anything for him except this atv looking push car. We actually tried it on him to see his reaction and I noticed he was looking for a button to make it go. So, we brought it back. Now we were on the search for a motorized atv for him. We were able to find the perfect one for him and when he saw it we couldn't convince him to open any of the other gifts.
Starting the Christmas shopping in June this year really paid off. I am really surprised we were able to pull off each Santa gift. We were blessed with a great Christmas, because of wonderful grandparents who kept the kids' needs in mind when shopping. They now have kid friendly games to play, and a new winter wardrobe. Thanks to all who helped!
